A place to learn, grow, and enjoy music.
At Dream Music Studio, we want students to feel comfortable, supported, and excited to come to their lessons. Shuman Zhou and Carlos Fernandez work closely with each student, adjusting their teaching to suit the student's age, personality, goals, and learning style. Some students are preparing for exams or competitions, while others simply want to play music they love. Along the way, students also have opportunities to perform, meet other young musicians, and feel part of a friendly studio community.
What we teach
Four things, done carefully.

Private lessons
Weekly one-on-one instruction, beginner through advanced. Repertoire is chosen with the student rather than handed to them.
- 02
Studio classes
Held monthly, and central to how we teach. Students perform for one another and receive feedback from the teachers on the spot, in front of the room. Recitals through the year do the same thing on a larger stage.
- 03
Theory
Taught as its own subject, for students preparing to sit theory examinations as well as those who want the grounding.
- 04
Group classes
Throughout the year, we offer group music classes for young children, ages four to six — singing, rhythm, movement, and hands-on time with instruments, all in a fun, social setting. Contact us to ask about upcoming classes.
